i have followed jason's advice and set up a yahoo groups account for brisbane IGDA
the group is not public and membership by invite only at this stage so we can use it for the organisational stuff ..
PLEASE - if you wish to subscribe and especially if you are using a personal email address, do let us know WHO you are and WHERE you work when you fill in the 'request membership' form ...

paul has pointed out that perhaps two forums is unecessary at this stage ..

i think the forums serve two distinct purposes - the blog is a useful website to check - rather than searching thru' email
the forum is a quick email service so that we don't have to double check that mail is going to all everytime i guess
anyway, i have set the blog to spam the yahoo group ...
for others with horror email accounts and massive mail overload - forgive
